at St. Anne’s Primary School

At St Anne’s Catholic Primary School we are committed to being an safe, nurturing inclusive, school. We aim for every pupil to fulfil their potential and ‘be their best self’. Our school is committed to anti discriminatory practice to promote equality of opportunity and valuing diversity for all children and families. More information on how we support children with specific needs can be found in the attached documents: SEND policy, Nurture Group policy, SEND information report.

Our school SENCo is Mrs Cookson.  She can be contacted on 0151 645 3682 (extension 4).

As part of the changes within the Children and Families Bill, Local Authorities are required to develop a “Local Offer”, which will provide information for children, young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their parents/carers in a single place, helping them to understand what services they and their families can expect from a range of local agencies.

‘School Information Regulations’ also require schools to provide information on Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). On the Wirral, this is called the “School Offer” and through this our school will describe the range of provisions and support available to support identified children as and when appropriate.
